As a Realtor, investor and home owner in the CA Bay Area I am often asked what is the key to making it rich in Real Estate. I always give the same answer: “Buy real estate and get old.” Thats it. Real Estate is a good long term investment. Most people who have made tons of money in the last few years did it on accident because of a highly appreciating market. The two strategies are buy and hold (thats the buy and get old) or buy undervalued properties and improve them for a profit. Some call this flipping. Today the only thought I want to leave you with is that whether you want to buy and hold or buy and improve a good real estate agent that you trust is a key adviser to help you get started.
